Winter Walmart Beauty Box Review

This is a review for the winter Walmart Beauty Box. The products are free with a $5 shipping cost.

From their Website:
"Each new season brings different product needs and a reason to refresh your beauty cabinet. In your Walmart Beauty Box, you’ll find sample beauty products and tips on how to use those and other items sold at Walmart and on Walmart.com. Receiving your Walmart Beauty Box will be another reason to welcome each new season."

*Note* Their Website also states that beauty products may vary by box.

Here is what the box looked like when I opened it.

Here is everything that was in the box.

Space Scouts Introductory Box Review

Space Scouts is a subscription for kids that cost $14.95 a month.

From their Website:

"ROXY and JETT will guide your child on a scouting expedition through the solar system, with focus on a specific place in space each month. Begin the adventure with the Space Scouts lunchbox to use as a backdrop and storage for the monthly magnet collection, the Space Scouts solar system poster to map and mark with the monthly exploration sticker, and the Space Scouts constellation card startup kit to hold the monthly constellation card collection.
Each monthly packet will include a Space Scouts exploration plan describing the place to be scouted, a Space Scouts magnet to add to the Space Scouts lunchbox, a Space Scouts sticker to add to the Space Scouts solar system poster, a Space Scouts activity sheet loaded with puzzles, games, and activities, a Space Scouts sticker scramble (unscramble the numbered stickers to reveal a surprise!), a Space Scouts souvenir toy to use in learning activities, a Space Scouts constellation card, and a Space Scouts constellation activity sheet that includes the mythological stories and other learning activities to help your child identify the constellation in the night sky."
The kit that I am reviewing today is the introductory kit. Here is what it looked like when I opened the box it arrived in:
Everything fit nicely inside of the lunch box.

Here is everything all laid out.
Here are some up close pictures of everything that was included:

Wikki Stix

The cover card for the Constellation Collection

Our favorite thing is the Wikki Stix because they are fun to play with and have a neat texture.

Our least favorite thing.. well we enjoyed it all but maybe the cover card for Constellation Collection just because we cannot do anything with it yet.

*Disclosure* I did receive this box for free as part of a 3-month subscription I won to Space Scouts.

November 2014 Ipsy Review

Ipsy is my favorite of all the subscription boxes/bags I have tried and seen reviews for online. It always brightens my day when I open my mailbox and find the pink package that it comes in!

You can subscribe to Ipsy for only $10 a month here. (The link does contain an affiliate link.)

Here is a look at the bag I received based on my beauty profile:

This is what the bag looks like on the inside:

Here are close ups of the items that were inside:

The items I received are:
4.) Be A Bombshell Cosmetics Eye Base
5.) TEMPTU S/B Highlighter

I have linked up the items with the Websites to purchase them if you would like to (does not contain affiliate links.)

My favorite item in the bag is the J. Cat Beauty Wonder Lip Paint. I love lip products and can't wait to try some of the other shades. There are 15 shades available for only $4.99 each! That sounds like a great deal for me.

My least favorite item is the Elizabeth Mott you're so FINE Eyeliner. As I have previously mentioned, I do not use eyeliners. I may have to take another look at my beauty profile and see if I can tweak my answers so that I don't keep receiving them.

Overall this month was a good bag, but not great. While I am enjoying my products (well, all but one) this is probably the most underwhelming bag for me personally that I have received since I became a member in October 2012.

What are your thoughts on this month's bag?

October 2014 Ipsy Review + Amazon Giveaway!

I have tried many subscription boxes/bags over the last several years, and Ipsy is by far my favorite. I have happily subscribed to Ipsy since October 2012 and have never received a bag I was not happy with. I have received a few eyeliners over the years which are one of the few makeup items I don't use, but I think every subscription has items that are a miss every now and then. Ipsy has added a profile quiz (which they did not have when I was first subscribed, but later added) that helps determine what products to send you. Some items everyone might get, and others depend on your profile.

You can subscribe to Ipsy for only $10 a month here. (The link does contain an affiliate link.)

Here is a look of the bag I got based on my beauty profile:

Here are some closeups of the items I received:

The items I received in order of left to right are:

My favorite item in the bag is a tie between the Figs & Rouge Rose Berry Shea Butter Hand Cream and the ModelCo VOLUMEYES Extreme Black Mascara. Mascara is one of my favorite beauty products so it's no surprise it is one of my favorite items in the bag. I regularly use hand cream or body lotion, but I feel that this one is extra special. I have been wanting to try a hand cream in this type of packaging for some time, but haven't been able to justify buying more lotion when I have an abundance of it already. I was thrilled that it was included in my bag! The scent makes it so much more special with a mix of rose and berry scents. Using it definitely feels like a luxurious experience.

My least favorite item in the bag is the Starlooks Lip Gloss. It is not a bad lip gloss, but the texture is a little different than what I am used to in a lip gloss. I will still be using it though!

Overall I am thrilled with this month's bag! I will happily be continuing my subscription to Ipsy.

I would love to give a reader a chance to win a $10 Amazon e-gift code to buy a makeup piece or any other item of their choice. Feel free to enter using as few or many options at the link below as you would like.

Here is everything that came in the box:

Close ups:

The items received were:
1.) Organic Original Falafel Chips by Flamous
2.) Snapea Crisps by Calbee
3.) Original Cheese Straws by J & M
4.) Honey Almond Nut Butter by Justin's
5.) Chocolate Almond Nut Butter by Justin's
6.) Buttery Shortbread Squares by Clairesquares
7.) Organic Jelly Beans by Surf Sweets
8.) Cinnamon and Sugar Bananinha Banana Bar by Nutryvitta

I have linked up the items with the Websites to purchase them if you would like to (does not contain affiliate links.)

My favorite item in the box: Hands down the Buttery Shortbread Square by Clairesquares wins! It was incredibly delicious and I wanted more! I just love shortbread treats.

My least favorite item in the box: I tried everyone except the jellybeans (those went straight to my son because I do not eat them.) Out of the rest of the items my least favorite was the Snapea Crisps by Calbee. They were not bad by any means, just a little strange to me. I would much rather eat "regular" peas than baked pea crisps.

Overall I am very happy with the October Love With Food box. There were some delicious treats and items I have not tried before along with one I have (Justin's Almond Nut Butter in Honey.)

Here is a better look at the items in the box:

The items received were:

I have linked up the items with the Websites to purchase them if you are interested! (Does not contain any affiliate links.)

My favorite item in the box: I almost declared a 3-way tie between the caramels, popcorn, and cookie thins. I suppose I will declare the 5 Spice Caramels the winner. They taste like Fall and are amazing!

My least favorite item in the box: To be fair I did not try it, but I am going to say the Ghost Soy Sauce because I cannot handle most things labeled "hot" and "ghost" anything.

Overall I was very happy with the September Love With Food Tasting Box. I got to try some items I would not have tried otherwise which is great!
